The Representative Council of Ghanaian Organisations in the Netherlands RECOGIN, has since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic,been showing love and affection to the needy and vulnerable in the Ghanaian community of the Netherlands
The effects of the Corona Virus has been devastating and has created massive unemployment and unrest. Most people are currently struggling with basic necessities like food.
However, one organisation which is not resting on its oars is RECOGIN. The group has identified several needy and vulnerable people in the community of Amsterdam.
RECOGIN recently played a major role in the facilitation of financial support from Timothy Fosu-Mensah, a Manchester united footballer, by helping in the disbursement of 100, 50 euros shopping vouchers to the enable needy, identified by RECOGIN to shop at Vomar supermarket in Bijlmerplein Amsterdam South East.
The Community and RECOGIN are grateful to Timothy Fosu- Mensah born and bred in Amsterdam, for the love shown during these difficult times.
The spokes man for Timothy Fosu- Mensah, Mr. Albert Kissi who made the donation on behalf of the footballer praised the work of RECOGIN and stressed on the need for everyone to help during this crisis.
RECOGIN has also initiated a Covid-19 fundraising that is to help several other needy and vulnerable members of the community. It is therefore encouraging all to donate their widows mite into this fundraising that will help others who are in dire need.
